Colour co-ordination with bridal procession
One thing that I would never even have considered was that the suits that the men wear need to look good next to the bride and bridesmaids. You need to make sure that the colours that you wear match the colours and complement the colours that the bridal procession will wear.
It is obviously not possible for you to see the wedding dress before the big day but fortunately suit hire companies are very discreet about making sure you get a suit that looks good next to the bridal dresses. They will take a sample of the colour of the bridesmaid's dresses and make sure that the trim on the men's clothing matches.
